WKU Gatton Academy Renovation & Addition

Renovation of a 4 story residence hall to include a 27,000 sf addition housing 200 stu-dents located on the campus for Western Kentucky University. The scope includes 3 separate additions on the north side of the facility. Two of the additions are 4 story residential additions while the third addition was a 2 story administration and large multipurpose space central addition. The building is steel frame with light gauge metal trusses and a low slope roof on the central addition. Exterior materials include lime-stone cladding, partial single and TPO roof on light weight concrete. Interior renova-tions include new carpet, paint, VCT, ceramic tile, acoustical ceiling tile and drywall walls and soffits. Site work included reworking a section of the existing parking lot, new retaining walls, ADA access pathways and patios adjacent to the central addition.
